What is GEMI ? : Gujarat Environment Management Institute (GEMI) is an Autonomous Institute set up under the aegis of Forest and Department, Government of Gujarat vide Government Resolution on 1st February, 1999. It is an ISO 9001:2008 & ISO 14001:2004 Certified Institute. It is also an OHSAS 18001:2007 Certified Institute. The Institute has been registered under Society Registration Act, 1860 on 1st March, 1999 as well as under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 on 1st March, 1999. Whereas, the Institute shifted its headquarter to Gandhinagar on 1st November, 2011.
